I have a 32'x9' slab of concrete that has an exposed aggregate surface. I want to widen the slab and apply an acrylic tennis court surface over it to make a small basketball court.
One concrete contractor I talked to said he couldn't overlay 1" of broom finish concrete over the exposed aggregate because it would crack. The acrylic vendor said it should be possible to do the 1" overlay and they said they cannot apply the acrylic over exposed aggregate directly as it wouldn't stick.
Anyone successfully add a 1" overlay on top of an existing exposed aggregate concrete slab? Folks are so busy now that it's hard to get anyone to look at this small job. Thanks so much for your suggestions.
