Oversized carriage doors

I plan on having 4 garage bays then additional storage (30 x 60 building). I was originally thinking two double doors one of which would be extra tall, so one 20 x 10 and one 20 x 12. I don’t like the idea of different sized doors, so then I was thinking doing both 12’ tall. Is this me being too OCD or does this bother anyone else?

I hate the look of roll up doors and love the look of swing out carriage doors. Buying doors is out of the question budget wise. I can build my own with the help of woodworking friends.

The original plan of 20 x 12 doors seems too big for swing out doors as each door would be 10 x 12, so then I was thinking 4 sets of doors for a 10 x 12 opening. Has anyone built swing out carriage doors in this size range? Am I right thinking a 20 x 12 opening is too big for this style door? Would a 10 x 12 opening be doable? Any advice is appreciated!

I have done -- twin 4x8 -- my neighbor did 4x10 as he could get plywood in that size.

Anything can be built.

I have done utility doors where I did a frame of 2x material -- plywood inside and out with foam sheets in the middle. I have also done the same with thinner foam and 1x panels on the outside to make them look like wood doors. They end up being 3-4" thick depending on how you do it. I like to use 1/2 ply on the inside. They are heavy -- but nothing that three good hinges on each door can't handle. Making them the size you want would require some major hinges and jam construction
