I have had this over 30 years, own the tanks.Looking at selling these locally in western Illinois. No idea what to ask. Have the extra guages, tips, clean outs, strikers, hose. I just never use it anymore. Say twice in the last 20 years at most

Are the tanks full? If so, I'd start at $700ish. If you asked $500, it would be gone in a day.

Must be a great sellers market where you live. Here, I'd ask $125 for the torch, regulators, etc. They're old and outdated. Then, about $250 to $300 for the tanks, depending on what the local rate is. Especially if they haven't been filled in 20 years, they're out of test and will invoke a refurb fee when you fill them.

I sold a nice harris set, with small tanks and hand carry type cart here a couple of months ago for $150. I was happy to get that, had it on craigslist for quite a while with no takers.

Maybe $400, a full acetelyne tank might bump the price up some. Torch sets have fallen out of vogue for anything other heating and cutting big stuff in the hobbyist garage and the safety nannies hit the OMG pressure and flammable gas so unless it is something desirable it goes cheap.

I go along with SSDave. The system is old, regulators are single stage. Hoses need replacement at 30years.

I paid $500, for about all that, last fall, at estate auction. No complaint.

Would have paid almost that much for the tanks alone, if starting from scratch.

You know, the week, after you sell it, you will need it, right? :)

I'm near enough to you to be the same market and I would agree $500 gone in a day. Might even be to me. Looks like a clean set up.

In commercial establishment flammable gas and oxidizers are labeled and locations noted for the firemen. You want to be the fireman that walks into bottles going off in some home owners garage?

Plus with some of the lack of concern for safety shown here on GJ by some posters I am happy that there is not as many about as used to be.

Outdated? exactly how have torches changed in the last 30 years? I don't think I've seen a set that complete under 400 here, certainly not with current tank inspection.

But if you threw some varnish on the cart and a few wine bottles, it might sell for more than the torches

Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing.

My setup is 25+ years old, though I do use it enough to have to refill the tanks once a year or so. That must allow me to keep the tanks "current" on cert?

I think the last time I priced out a new Turbo Tote set-up like mine it was around $400 (minus the tanks). And your rig is much bigger tanks and a cart to boot.
