P&C 1/2"drive socket set - SOLD

Deal of the Day - SOLD to Bolster

Here's an unusual set - P&C is best known as a subsidiary of Plomb Tool (later Proto), but was an interesting and innovative company in its own right. Founded around 1920, the company had developed a very extensive line of automotive service tools by the end of the 1920s.

In addition to establishing its own line of tools, P&C also served as the direct or indirect catalyst in the founding of two other tool businesses: Thorsen Manufacturing of Oakland, California, and General Tool of Portland, Oregon.
Own a piece of American tool history - P&C 1/2" drive sockets:

7/16"
1/2" - (3)
9/16" - (2)
5/8"
11/16"

13/16" - (2)
7/8"
15/16"
1"
11/16" deep
5/8" deep (2)
2" extension
Plus some langianappe:
3/8" dr 3/4" deep sockets - (2)

These are late production, probably early 1960s, chrome is perfect on most, all are in excellent condition and ready to use. They should be worth $20 shipped.

thnx, jack vines

That's an incredibly low price! If you're sure you want to sell them for that, and if they're unmarked, I'll take them. PM incoming.

How could there be 190 views of this outrageous deal and still available...a dollar each? :headscrat Excellent condition? :headscrat SHIPPED? :headscrat From Jack, a known straight shooter? :headscrat You guys never heard of P&C from Washington?

They know but if aint Snap-On or another truck brand it's a tough sell on this board or at least that's been my experience. The economy isn't helping matters either.

I have some P&C sockets. Solid tools.

You got that right! Man, you slid in here and sneaked em out on me Gopher boy! What a deal. If I didn't already have several sets of good SAE sockets I would have already jumped on these before he dropped the price, good thing there for sure. As I said, I was already sorely tempted just because it was a complete set of P&C and I have never seen a full set before. Well all I can say Bolster is it's a good thing this board is full of a bunch of tool snoots or you would not have gotten that deal!
