P&C "100" Series Wrench

I recently bought a P&C 1" combination wrench (P2732) that has a stylized "100" stamped in it. It is obviously a factory marking, and must indicate a series, and I also assume that it is later production. I am not familiar with this and wonder if anyone can enlighten me?

I've seen the occasional Proto 500 wrenches. I don't know the significance of the numbers though on either one.

Yep the 100 series was very late in production from what I`ve been told by a factory guy. It was kind of a last ditch effort to generate interest.

I was out in the garage tonight and came across a 1" P&C 100 series socket.

Picked one up recently in a large handful of tools I bought; although not real fancy, it's a well made wrench and very comfortable to use.

I got my first P&C tools when I was 14. A 1/2" breaker bar (that I last used yesterday), a few sockets, a 1/2" open gear ratchet, and a 7/8" combo wrench.

I've been picking up P&C combo wrenches at garage sales as I see them. I'm not picky about condition, as long as they are usable. I still need the following:

15/16
3/4
13/16
3/8 and smaller

A former P&C employee told me that the "100" series was their entry level stuff at one time. I have a bunch of it and it seems to hold up just fine.
