I like how P&C was a Oregon based company. Alloy Artifacts cannot be currently contacted. What the heck did I find? I thought all P&C was made in Portland?????

Proto acquired P&C and they had a plant in Canada that opened around 1952 or so. They were probably making P&C branded tools at both locations.

I currently own appox 300 plus P&C tools. I have not paid much attention to them. I buy them and have just been putting in a tool box to be cleaned later. I do have a NOS Proto socket that is also stamped P&C. When I get around to cleaning and sorting them I will check what country they were made in. I do know some are WF { Wright Field } marked. I just checked 5 P&C sockets that i have in my computer room. 3 are marked Made In USA and 2 have no COO marked on them.

Gort.

let us not forget Proto (Protomex) was made in Mexico also. Protomex became Urrea in later years. I have started collecting Urrea tools also. Have not found any Protomex tools yet, but I have a feeling they will show up in the U.S. sooner or later. They might be a little rusty tho.

Nice shot. Sad to think that only Gray & Fuller still produce in Canada.

That Lufkin came from Barrie, ON, but I do not believe they still manufacture there.
