Pick up at Brown’s Vintage & Variety 117 S. 1st St. Pleasant Hill, Mo.
And while you're there, you can walk just a few feet down the street to Ben Franklin's Five and Dime! :)

Seriously. I am not a wealthy man, and have never sought to be in terms of ostentatious things (cars, clothing, etc), but as I always told and still tell my now much more high-performing kids, be careful about the root of all evil, but it sure would be nice to just pop in a plane any time you want, at the drop of a hat or the wildest wild hair ideas. Such as flying to Kansas City, renting a car, and driving to Pleasant Hill. If you goggle it or go satview and pan out and left and right and poke around the town, it looks like it's full of old stuff, from pricey to peanuts. My kind of 'you're-going-where? Weekend Getaway'.

By the way, what is it with Missouri and tool boards!? I didn't know where Pleasant Hill was. I will admit that for a couple three seconds there, until I figured out it was closer to KC than St Louis, I thought this might've been the same guy from several years ago who had a basement full of them and he finally came down in price by about 75%. :) All the regulars will remember that thread.

I've decided to display some of my P&C tools in this black plastic box from Home Depot.

Scored some p&c at a barn clean out today. Next town over from the factory. Bunch of the items still have the yellow tags on them. The carpenter squares cleaned up decent. Not perfect and still some pitting but I got ‘em to use.

Nice! Anything in the box?
Nope...the contents were gone but the box is in decent shape. The chrome is not great from years of sitting in a shelf on a barn. It has a 2 digit zip code (Portland 52) so it makes it earlier than 1961. Today was the second day of the sale and there was more tools in a corner of the barn but the family wouldnt let people in that corner because the floor was soft. I tried my best to talk them into letting me go back there but they wouldnt budge. They said they were bringing more stuff out today but it's about 30 minutes from me so I probably wont go back.

Yes sir ...actually 2 of them! Why did I buy them ? Well they look cool... The oldy 1/2 socket is destined for our mutual friend... same with pretty much all these tools.

Smoke, I have been in that barn (I am pretty sure) a couple times, and they always manage to find some interesting stuff tucked away.
Oh you mean the one with the room right to the left when you walk in? I can see into the room through an animal barrier in the wall and looks to be some killer stuff in there. I’m going back today and hopefully I can use my “youthful “ charm to get access to the room. They kept making excuses about the floor being soft but I was also wearing my city slicker clothes yesterday. Today I’m going to wear my grungy work clothes and hopefully that will help my cause. I’m also bringing a head lamp as it is super dark in there

So I don't have the tubular handle but obviously you could mix and match the wrench sizes and configurations. Also based on the difference of the box end on the left it looks like they tweaked their attachment system.

That’s a nice tool wall! I’m super offended by the Proto boards 😆. You need to send them to me for proper disposal
