I need to get out of the county more often. The Oregon coast is a bit touristy. We mostly visit there midweek when it's less crowded. There are quite a few places to find vintage tools on the coast though. This last trip we ended up in Astoria and hit up a warehouse sale that had some really good bargains. I've found quite a bit of stuff on the East side too. LaGrand occasionally gives up a find. Same with North Powder and Baker. Lostine has a neat little junk shop with a lot of tools. I haven't made it to Burns in years to check out that area. The John Day Valley drive has a few stops too on the way to Redmond where there are plenty of shops. All good.... Ed.
$18 apiece seemed a bit steep
Wasn't happening at $80 though.

Great find! Catalogs can be found at Jerry Johnson's pnctools.com site.Awesome find @930dreamer !! Wow. Need to hear/see more about that.
I found this wrench this week. I'm guessing a special automotive tool? Couldn't find it in the 1934 P&C catalog. (Are there any other pre-1950 catalogs online?)
The wrench is 14.3 inches long. The box end is a 7/8-inch hex opening and the socket opening is just over 9/16-inch.

How cool is this find? You found it while on the clock cleaning out an old barn? So very cool!Nice early wrench Leviton. Haven't been around in awhile but this 3/4" drive set should be heard from. Found it in a barn we are going to be demolishing on a clearing project. All P&C tools, the carrier is different than I've ever seen but the inside has very old black wrinkle paint so I'm thinking might be original. 15/16" thru 1-5/8" sockets.

A local fellow has one just like it. He says he will keep it to use on his crawler tractor, but I'm piecing together a newer set of USA 3/4" drive to tempt him.Nice early wrench Leviton. “ as sellers learn how to use them”. It was just one button AI assist or not when I last formed an auction. Has it changed? Is it learning? All I see are dopey generalities. If one knew their item and saw what the AI did to their auction I would think they’d be even more hesitant to use it on something they didn’t know because they wouldn’t trust it. I did bring up on the Plomb thread the situation that could arise when a seller uses an EBay offered function to write their auction. The eBay function misrepresents the item, the buyer wants reimbursement and the seller appeals based on the fact that the AI caused the problem.^ The "AI" generated ad texts are becoming more common in ebay listings as sellers learn how to use them.
Not all of those people are tool experts - look at their "other items" and you'll find Hummel figurines, old purses, and souvenir ashtrays from Reno.
I would imagine that some of the AI listings on NON-tool items might be quite entertaining.
I have access to AI,.. whadaywananknow?or do some original research for God's sake.

Yes….. and a 100% positive feedback profile does not mean someone’s never had a negative. That’s not news to anyone I hope.ebay already has a practice of removing "well deserved negative reviews" from a seller's profile if the seller does enough dollar volume (two separate instances over the last 8 years.)
