Here is a #2 Phillips screwdriver that came in a recent eBay lot. I don’t run across many P&C screwdrivers.

Anyone have a 19-w tool board they could show a picture of? It would be the early one with the frame around it, 1/4" & 3/8" drive sockets and tools.

Found a 551 wood octagonal-handled stubby square-shank screwdriver in pretty good shape.



Markings (all on handle, none on ferrule): "P&C (R) 551 U.S.A.”

Overall length: 4-3/8”. Tip width: 3/16”. Top of ferrule to tip: 1.57”. Across handle flats: 3/4+”.

For dating: the 1948, 1953 & 1958 catalogs list the 551 as having a round shank. The 1959 catalog is the first to list the 551 as having a square shank and it remains the same through the 1968 catalog.

Picked this gem up over the 4th. Unmarked other than P&C stamping, sizes appear to be 9/16" and 3/4".

Digging thru my storage and uncovered this set. I'm guessing early 1960's 9300f set. I have the pieces that are missing. Very heavy set, I had to carry it a 1/4 mile when I got it at an estate sale years ago.

Based on the "live weight" of my 3/4 set I assembled in a similar size box, I'd guess around 50 lbs

Bottom right P&C Hex short bend L wrenches. To the left are 3 P&C 12 point L’s. Upper left with white tags are are <T>’s and yellow tags are all part of a large set of unmarked tools that came out of a Bay Area haul that are so fresh the knurling will tear up your hands.

That is by far the largest group of those I've ever seen in one place. Very impressive.

Picked up this P&C box over the weekend. It’s a shame it got hit with a spray bomb. I tried to lift the blue paint and it wasn’t going well. This is some old HD paint. What little I could lift left a pretty bare area so into the glass bead cabinet it went. Thankfully the interior paint was nice enough for a match…..here’s the before pics…
