Alloy Artifacts says P&C was started in the 1920s, then became a subsidiary of Plomb Tool (later Proto). It was acquired by the Plomb Tool Company of Los Angeles in 1941, but they don't say if they continued using the original trademark to stamp the tools. It folded in 1960.

I am wondering if anybody can nail down the manf. date on this breaker bar tighter than 1920s to 1960s.

For example, did P&C add anything to its tool marks like P&C Div. of Plomb or anything else?

Here are some pics:

I think they started putting the R for registered trademark in the 50s

I have cut and bent many wrenches, including everyone’s beloved Snap-On. P&C had the hardest metal to work with. Great tools, in my opinion.

I dunno - it's one of my oldest tools.

I could leave it to you in my will
