Hi,
I started this journey back in 2008 with my PA garage thread. After 18 years of marriage gone wrong and over $100k fighting for custody of my son I was able to start the garage project in my new home. I do miss having the extra room that I had in the last garage but the new one is evolving into a toy box for my 13 year old son and I. We love to ride BMX bikes at the pump track, race Mountain bikes competitively, and of course get dirty on the motorcycles. These hobbies allow us to spend quality time together having fun but also time in the garage working on our gear. All these things have helped me build an amazing relationship with him throughout the challenges. He is learning to maintain all his bikes and equipment.
I learned something along the way that the garage changes with us. It has become a staging and preparation area for the next adventure. As it evolves with us and set up correctly it makes sport transitions and maintenance easy. I look forward to working every week on something even in the colder months.
Thank you all for the information and pictures of these cool garages that have inspired me to make mine better. I appreciate the community and a place to explore ideas. Most of all a comfortable place for my son and I to grow together.
