I need one to support a long term contract for a client and I know how hard they are to find.

I figured I would have to make one but I was hoping that someone that had one could give me a few dimensions.

When I get to building a steady I'll document it here.

All the dimensions you really need are right on your lathe. Just make it fit the ways and have its center fall on the center of your spindle and tailstock.

I bought a used steady rest off eBay that had originally come with a 13" lathe. Just machined its base to fit the ways on my 12" Logan. Piece of cake.

I have a pretty stoutly constructed steady that came with my Sheldon but actually fits something else. It would work for a 13-14" lathe with some machine work to adapt it. It's yours for shipping if you would like to use it as a starting point rather than building a steady from scratch. Please private message me if you're interested...
