Pad adapter for transmission jack

So I purchased this 2 stage transmission jack on Amazon for 200 bucks. It seems pretty smooth so far, but I want to use it to help support items under the vehicle when I am working on them, such as lowering a rear pumpkin or jacking up a control arm.

I don't need to use the massive transmission adapter so I was wondering if anyone knew of any pads that could slip on the top of the shaft. I've attached some pictures of what I am talking about. A regular pad from a floor jack would be fine but they have solid posts (The picture shows a lifting pad from the MaxJax). For this transmission jack I would need a pad adapter with a hollow post to slip over the end of the ram.

Any ideas? I searched for a while and came up empty.

Sch 40 1" pipe would almost make it over the jack, but would need to be opened up about 50 thou.

What's the OD of pad stem?

Don't I see a welder? You just need two pieces of pipe butted and welded together. Sleeve, meet sleeve.
