Paint and Hoist question

My 24'x30' is in the process of being built. The upper level has a very good amount of space for storage and I would like to use an I beam and hoist to give me the ability to lift and bring stuff up to the top level via a set of doors that will be on the second level. I would like to have a trolley set up to easily bring items hoisted into the top level. Has anyone done this or seen a setup that works well?

My other question is what type/brand of epoxy paint for the cement floor has provided good satisfaction to other garageneers? (Just made that up)

What does the ridge look like?
Will it support a beam hanging from it?
Will it support weight hanging on a beam hanging from it?

Yes, it's been done a number of times. A search will bring them up.

Make sure your trusses are rated for carrying weight. Many aren't.

I just posted the pics of the garage. If you look at the trusses you can see that there is a verticle 2x4 in the center which is in the way. If I put another set of 2x4's or 4x4's across, just below the top set of horizontals, and repeated several trusses back, that should provide me with a point of support that I can lay/mount the I beam.
