I've been watching for an affordable explosion proof fan to put in the garage wall. They seem fairly pricey. The fans in a lot of them look similar in design to the prop on a boat. Anyone ever considered mounting an explosion proof motor to an aluminum boat prop? Think it would work okay? Air research people like to consider air as a fluid also, don't they? Ideas?? John V.O.

This one was free. Work chucked it in the dumpster when they closed in the wall it was in. Seriously pulls and blows at a fairly low rpm!

Youd have to isolate the motor ftom the air flow. Maybe build a sheet metal box around the motor, or move the motor further away.
