Paint Booth Fan

I've been watching for an affordable explosion proof fan to put in the garage wall. They seem fairly pricey. The fans in a lot of them look similar in design to the prop on a boat. Anyone ever considered mounting an explosion proof motor to an aluminum boat prop? Think it would work okay? Air research people like to consider air as a fluid also, don't they? Ideas?? This one was free. Work chucked it in the dumpster when they closed in the wall it was in. Seriously pulls and blows at a fairly low rpm!

Youd have to isolate the motor ftom the air flow. Maybe build a sheet metal box around the motor, or move the motor further away.
