I think I have settled on grey bottom and white top as many have done here but should I do the red (actually Crimson) stripe? Should I also paint all the trim Crimson ? Or is it too much? I do have some old metal cabinets that I will be painting this same color as well in the kitchen area

The first door to the right is the entry to the 12x18 office and bathroom. The 2nd door is a closet and then the painted area is for a 60" tv and below it will be the sound system for the shop area.

IMO, the trim is too much or even approaching gaudy. Leave it neutral.

Like they say though, opinions are like buttholes, everyone has one. Some stink worse than others. :D

Makita blue (teal) on the bottom might also look nice -- with white or a light gray on top. Would give it a classic 50's vibe perhaps.

Not that I'm looking for a show shop but I do want it to look nice but that's a lot of red trim when it's all said and done

Not trying to be a jerk or anything, but the "gray/white with a red stripe" in a garage is the equivalent to the "flat black paint with red wheels and whitewall tires" combination you see on a lot of hot rods and motorcycles. There's nothing really wrong with it, its just been done to death.

I think the gray and white would look very nice, just leave out the red. You might even consider doing a multi-shade gray scheme. Pick one or two smaller walls and go with a dark gray, do the rest in a lighter shade, accent/trim with the lightest shade.

I've always been fond of the Exxon standard colors, which are similar to what you are thinking about without a beltline stripe.

IDK if it's any help, but here's a copy of the Exxon standards. The materials are top-notch, too:

This is the best picture I can find.

I also have this ceiling area to paint. This area will also be trimmed out with 1x4s and 1/6 base boards. That framed area to the right of that door is where the kitchen cabinets, fridge and sink will go

I have a couple gallons of flat white ceiling paint left over from the house that I was going to use on the ceiling but I'm thinking a lighter gray now instead. .

The room where the bunny is in is 10x14. It will be my fishing/hunting room with workbenches and cabinets but I was thinking just white walls, whatever trim color and the gray ceiling. It will be insulated, heated and cooled

So this is a SHouse? we need floor plans. Paint it colors that make you happy. Screw every ones opinion. Find a theme and have at it.

Go get some cheap paint from the depot clearance bin. It's usually mixed stuff that others didn't pick up. Cheap enough that you won't care about the color.

Lt. gray/med. gray, no stripe. You'll get white dirty before you get the can open.

Tools, vehicles and equipment will provide accent colors. Throw up some big signs, banners or art if it needs more.

Although it is osb and I'm not striving for perfection since it IS a shop this is the only wall that will not have shelves, benches or cabinets so I wanted it pretty slick since it will be the focal point walking in the shop. So I decided to mud the wall prior to priming. I will only do this on the ceiling of the mezzanine and the remaining walls where cabinets and such won't be.

The office and bathroom will have drywall

I have a build thread but I have not updated it in some time. I started this 2 yrs ago but I work out of town a lot too so I'm not always working on it and I have done 95% by myself. I believe the floor plan is there though

Grey bottom, white top, slightly darker grey trim.

Try to find pictures to see what it will look like. After trying that, I like the gray bottom and white top, but the red stripe looks okay also.
