Paint for Garage Door Brackets

I want to paint all of the hardware attached to my garage door. The rails, brackets, hinges, everything.

I know that I could go with a solution like a rattle can, but I don't really want to deal with the insane amount of masking that would be required.

What type of paint would I be looking for that I could simply paint on with a brush. I have lots of patience, I don't mind having to paint all the intricate parts with a brush, I just want to use the right materials for the paint to adhere to the surface correctly.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

If the wife wouldn't come home and wonder why we didn't have garage doors, this would have been done already. HA HA HA.

I needed to come up with some alternative. I think that I am just going to go with Rust-Oleum and see what I get.

If they're galvanized, you'll have to treat them first.
