Paint for stem wall, apron and landing in garage

Hello, I've got my garage floor and all other parts (small stem wall, small apron lip and landing) ground and patched and ready for epoxy/paint.
I'm on a tight budget and I've got a 2 part epoxy flake kit that will cover the main floor at about 320 sq ft. The thing is I doubt I'll have enough left to use on the landing and the outside apron lip. I never planned to use it on the short stem wall area.
So I'm looking for just a gray paint that I know won't match exactly but I don't care that much about matching. Just good adhesion on the ground concrete.
I was considering these two products:

Drylok E1
Rust-oleum

The main floor, landing and apron would have a top-coat of 1 part polyurea or similar.
Obviously one product is oil and one is latex based but other than the apron, it'll be just foot traffic on the landing.

Thanks for any advice on the paint.

You don't want to use epoxy on the outside apron anyhow. It will turn yellow (amber) and eventually oxidize from the UV rays. Either of those choices will work and not be affected by the UV rays since they are not a 2-part epoxy coating. I would suggest matching up the finishes - semi-gloss or gloss with the epoxy you are using. It will most likely require two coats since the concrete was treated via grinding.

Thanks Shea! I was wondering on the apron, as I've seen many people use their epoxy and some not. Will my topcoat of 1 part polyurea or similar topcoat provide UV protection for the main floor where I will be using the good 2-part epoxy system? There will be some sun exposure on the leading edge near the outside apron.
Thanks again!

A polyurea clear coat will still allow UV rays to penetrate through to the epoxy. However, it typically will slow any ambering that may occur. If it's a quality epoxy, the ambering process will take longer as well. The budget water-based epoxy kits are the ones that are most susceptible and at a faster rate.

Is there any clear topcoat product (urethane, for instance?) that would do a better job of UV rejection? The sun is only going to be more intense as the years go on down here in TX.

Unfortunately, no. Clear coats do not act like a sunscreen. The clear coat will not amber, but the epoxy can at some point.

How about Luster seal 350 (solvent based) with a tint in it. I use clear Luster seal 350 on my stamped concrete walk. I apply a light coating every two years and it still looks new after 12 years. I cut the Luster seal 350 with about 25% xylene for better bonding to the old sealer. No yellowing or chalking of any kind.

LUSTER SEAL 350 is an acrylic curing compound and cure & seal that protects and enhances the appearance of concrete with a clear, non-yellowing film that is more durable than standard polymer blend cure and seal products. LUSTER SEAL 350 is formulated in an exempt solvent carrier formulated for use in VOC-regulated areas. LUSTER SEAL 350 is designed to enhance the color of stamped concrete, exposed aggregate, and colored concrete pavers, making these surfaces look deeper and richer in appearance. It provides protection against the damaging effects of traffic, weather, and de-icing salts. Applied properly, LUSTER SEAL 350 will not turn white in the presence of moisture. LUSTER SEAL 350 gives concrete a satin finish that highlights the color and texture of surfaces. LUSTER SEAL 350 can be tinted with Euclid Universal Color Packs, which are available in 33 standard colors.

Acrylics are UV stable and one of the reasons they are popular to use outdoors for patios and walkways. However, they are not as durable, chemical, and stain-resistant as an epoxy and polyurea coating system provides for a garage environment.
