Hello just picked up a Wilton 9400 4” (paid $100) wanted to clean it up and paint it. Found multiple pictures threads recommending rustoleum hammered verde green or Hammered light blue. There still on rustoleum website but seem to be vaporware. Any other recommendations or know where to get these colors.
In NY if that matters this vice will be put to use so not looking to make a show piece but would still prefer it to be the “correct” color

Haven’t been able to find the blue or green for a few years. Not shut what the issu is. I’d like to find a replacement as well..

There’s another thread here where Rustoleum said there is a supply chain problem, forget when they expected to resolve it. Thought it was Feb 2022, but obviously not.

Several posts below this one had guesses apparently. None came true where I am.

Verde green is a Hammered finish and completely different from the current green. I don't think they had it in 1966. If it's for home use, and you want a vintage look, look for a bluish gray (similar to Battleship Gray) enamel.

Yes going for the vintage look Any brand you recommend?
The hammered copper looks alright but that’s a little flashy for my taste

Any autobody paint store can make any color in the rainbow for you in automotive basecoat and put it in a spray can for you. If you give them something they can put their spectrophotometer on they can give you an exact match. Otherwise look in the chip book for the closest match. Follow up the basecoat with 2K urethane clearcoat (which is also available in a special spray can) and you'll have a much better finish than you're ever going to get out of a can of Rustoleum.

“I am sorry to hear you had trouble locating one of our products. The reason why your local stores stated they could not special order for you is because this product is currently out of stock. Unfortunately we do not have a timeframe of when this product would be available again.”

Regarding verde green from rustoleum ^

Yea Verde Green is the recommended factory color for an Ellis band saw and I had a hard time last year finding enough to refurbish my saw. Sure glad I did as it was an exact match and turned out great.

You can go to any Sherwin Williams store and find a quart of their All Surface oil enamel paint which they can tint it to the color you wish. About $20.00.

Lowes matched the paint on my Delta 10" band saw. I have the cheaper one with the plastic front cover. I brought in a part from the base to get a match. I repainted the front cover and base after proper prep. Both came out great. The paint was the gloss rust inhibitor type they carry.
