Paint Guys -- help! First 2k paintjob questions

After avoiding doing paint on machine restorations for years, I'm finally going for my first paint job on a little Rusnok milling machine made in Chicago (identical to the one below). The machine has been disassembled and stripped to bare metal using paint stripper. I'll prep with some automotive wax&grease remover/prep solution.

I have a bunch of questions for you guys:

I want to use a true 2-part paint (w/hardener) in some shade of grey. I don't have a compressed air setup here, but I do have a ton of PPE. I am planning on using Aero-Max rattle can 2k epoxy like these:

Is there something better?

I am planning to spray epoxy primer, then 2 coats of color. Does this sound about right? How many cans of each should I plan to buy? The machine is about the same size as a benchtop drill press. I'll probably spray the underside of the base, too.

What product should I use for masking? How do some of you guys get such crisp masking lines?

Alternatively, does someone know of a place/shop in socal that could spray it with car paint once I finish the masking? (getting this far took a lot of hours -- i'm still worried I'll mess it up!)

The epoxy primer and then 2 coats of single stage color should probably do fine. I've never used those 2K in a can paints, but the theory looks good. As long as your spraying a solid color without metallic or anything. I don't see why they wouldn't work just fine.

For tape i just use the high dollar 3M tape that can be bought at autobody stores, or from oreillys. It's like $15 a roll.

Peel the tape as soon as your done spraying (while the paint is still wet). If you let it dry with the tape still on there, then go back and score all the tape lines with an exacto knife before peeling it up.

you will be extremely happy with the 2K stuff, I use the clear quite often. it lays better than some guns and there is no mess or clean up involved. I would get two cans to get good coverage.
