There are MANY awesome garages on this forum! I am in the process of overhauling my garage and am about ready for paint.

I would like to see some paint schemes that you used in your garages. Thinking of going with 2 different colors and a strip through the middle, or maybe 2 or 3 stripes? Any advise?

Thanks all!

If you go to the search feature you can find about 5 threads on this exact topic.

Nice space you have there. I like all the outlets.

I've just decided on my (unexciting) paint scheme.

The ceiling and the top three fifths of the wall are white to make it feel as light as possible, and the bottom two fifths of the wall will be in a mid/light grey, as will the floor. There will be dark grey detailing (e.g. grey stone tiles on the window cills) and dark grey satin paint for the woodwork such as the door frame. The units are a combination of dark grey and light grey, and my tool chest, welder, press, engine stand, etc are all bright red to add some colour. I want it to be discreet, and it is deliberately bland so it is unlikely to clash with anything else I put in there.

Any more pictures of your space? I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that you can never have too many outlets!

:)

I did this pegboard / paneling thing. I also had a thought you might consider,
for the bottom 36" or so use low priced laminate flooring instead of paneling with a molding at the top and paint the upper wall section. The laminate would be tough and easy to clean.

What color did you use for the stripe on the wall?
I am looking to do something similar in my garage and want to do a "ford blue" stripe as well (I have an '85 Mustang coupe and a DD F150)
Thanks!

I was going to paint the OSB - but I sure like the look of wood, so I passed. Tinbender - nice walls. I like how wood warms a space.

Had stripes in my last garage, so I decided to go a different way this time with an accent wall. I like it. Sorry I don't have better photos, but the place isn't quite ready for prime time yet...
