Paint Selection for Garage

Not quite ready to buy the paint yet, but I like to be prepared...when buying paint for a work garage, would you recommend Interior/Exterior paints or are plain ol interior paints fine?

If your talking about the inside- I'm sure interior paint would suffice.
But- Im sure exterior paint is a bit "stronger" and would be much more forgiving the the activities that may occur inside a garage.

I painted the inside of my garage with exterior paint. Because I had much leftover from painting the outside. I have no regrets about doing it.

While cost is NOT the final factor - You usually get what you pay for.

I used a interior gloss white paint it's better for the lighting the garage.

The only difference between interior and exterior paint is the UV protection for paint fading. Now if you want stronger try garage floor paint on you bench or trimwork.

If you aren't going to have water splashing on the walls (from washing a car, etc.) then interior paint should be fine. Even with a slight water spray ocassionally, interior paint should be OK as long as the walls don't get soaked.

I went with an exterior paint...thinking that it would be more durable and more water resistant than interior paint.

I do like the porch and floor paint I used for my stem wall. Sort of wish I would have used that on the walls since it cleans up so easily and withstands quite a bit of abrasion.
