Feel free to tell me if this is TOTALLY lame (or just partly lame like even I think!)

Made a "quick":wtf: swing through Home Depot today after waiting f o r e v e r in line to get in the store.

As an afterthought I figured I'd pick up stuff to make small patches in my 4-6" stem wall then paint black. I was looking for a quart of ordinary latex concrete paint - none to be had. ANOTHER line to wait for a mix, then only in gallons!

I picked up ordinary oil based Rustoleum flat black but now that my cooler head has come back I'm thinking it was a dumb decision. Also bought ready made concrete patch for a very small area of rock pockets.

What say you, gentlemen?

PS: Whether I go with VCT or a RaceDeck type tile the short stem wall will mostly be covered with black vinyl cove molding so the repair and Rusto won't be all that noticeable. But I'll know it's there and it'll bug me if it is truly wrong.

It's a good choice. You don't really need more than that. You aren't going to be walking or driving (hopefully) on your stem walls.
