OK, bought this sprayer yesterday http://www.lowes.com/pd_301337-47120-SGY-AIR86_0__ . Now , I'll be the first to admit I have a limited knowledge of paint sprayers. I am using it to stain my shop and it is working great except one problem. There seems to be quite a bit of sediment in the stain and it keeps clogging the filter. Is this normal? Do I have the wrong kind of stain? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nope! never heard of them. I will be looking into them for sure. Do you do this with all paints and stains?:dunno:

Yep, anything that goes into the gun gets filtered. It's amazing what you find. HF also sells these filters and they've worked good for me.

Also when spraying you might need to thin the paint to get it to spray good. This depends on your tip you're using and the material you're spraying. Spraying takes a little to get the hang off.

In addition to the filter funnel, you're supposed to use a mixing cup to measure out your ratios between base coat, reducer, and hardener if applicable. The mixing ratios are listed on the side of the paint can.
