i searched and any relating questions seem to be over a year old so ill ask for 2010:thumbup:

i gotta paint about 200 ft. of 6 ft. high privacy fence and want to get a paint sprayer....id rather buy than rent but i also want a decent unit although i may never use it again ( i have a weird nature )

do i have to thin the paint with the Wagners??
Ryobi has one that accepts the actual gallon can...im not a fan of Ryobi in general but its about $100 and NO paint thinning and seems like what i want if its not junk...
the semi commercial units are nice and seem to be in the mid 200's and i have some lowes coupons that could lessen the blow...
will all of the units spray stain as well???

I have a Wagner Paint Crew that has worked well for me. I have heard really bad things about the Ryobi but your experience could be different. Milwaukee has a new unit out that looks pretty interesting although I am not sure of the price (looks big bucks). I would avoid the small self contained Wagner Power Painter units. I had one about 15 years ago and it was pretty disappointing. I have used my Uncle's commercial unit and it blows anything else out of the water, it was big $'s though. Hope this helps.
Thanks, Dave
