Paint the ceiling?

My buddy is coming over to help paint my interior garage walls (light tan) with his sprayer. He used to paint on the side and recommended painting the ceiling the same color.....I'm not sure if it will look right in a garage..
what do you guys think?

The big question is, if he used to paint on the "side", is he qualified enough to paint on the "top"?

Why not use a ceiling white. It can really help brighten the space.

I would paint the ceiling white, or off-white. I think it will look funny if it's the same color as the walls, and will feel like the ceiling is too low.

Yes, paint it. But paint it white or off-white.

Try it could be nice if not straight over with white.

If you paint it semi-gloss be prepared to see alot of imperfections (unless it has a nice finish to it)

I would use flat, people like using semi for walls but unless youre walking on the ceiling you dont need it.

The walls and roof are already finished (same texture as the interior of the home) and painted white.

Do you have a good amount of light in the garage? The general rule is to paint the ceiling white because it reflects light.

Me personally, I dont like white ceilings. I chose a light grey instead. The walls are darker by a few shades.

I do have quite a bit of light in my garage so the white ceiling wasnt anything I was in desperate need of.

I was tempted to paint it black.

Finished up this afternoon, I think it turned out pretty good. I'm happy with it and will get some pics up.
