I was shooting for a medium, maybe slightly darker blue and after 4 coats (coverage problem) I think the blue is too dark? What do you guys think? If I stick with the blue what would be a good color stripe?

Thanks
Tom

The problem your having is common with your color choice... reds, purples, blues and some exotic colors have this issue...

Its a dye vs pigment situation, in order to get that color blue, the tint base (the un tinted gallon of paint) is almost clear, very little pigment, pigment gives you coverage, dye gives you color. too much dye and not enough pigment means you should add a grey primer first.

with that said, do you have a bigger/better picture?

I like the blue. Maybe a medium or lighter gray stripe.

If that is regular masking tape you're using for masking the stripe, you may have a problem when you pull it off. Try Frog tape.

I like that shade of blue. I wouldn't worry about it being too dark down on the bottom part of the wall.

What other colors are in your garage ? Cabinets, tool box or anything else. Maybe try to photoshop some color into the picture ?

The garage is new so the only thing that I have right now is a red tool box. No cabinets picked out yet. I contiplated a bright red stripe but I am not the best at picking out colors.
