Hello. Has anyone painted stainless tool chest? I have 3 stainless kobalts and I'm getting tired of the stainless look and want some color. If I use etching primer will it stick to the stainless? Or should I just sell them and buy new?

If they decent condition I consider selling and buying US Gen when on sale.
I guess if you just painted outside and drawer fronts it be fairly easy and cost/time effective .
How much you like box layout you got is real question along with material and time costs to do finish you want to decent lasting standard ....

Stainless steel accepts paint just like carbon steel. Make sure it's clean and has a bit of texture for the paint to bite. IE sandblast or sand.

Yup. I am looking at Vvivid products to wrap my icon when it shows up. The issue I have now is deciding what color I want to use. 3M, Vvivid, Oracle are all good products from the research I have done.

Just like painting prep is key to a great result. Make sure the box is clean and take your time.
