I am considering painting my walls before I diamond grind/epoxy the floor so that I won't have to deal with wall paint dripping/splattering on my newly epoxied floor. Is this the best order?

Also, has anyone ever used aluminimum metal flashing for base boards? I removed my old 3 inch wood baseboards (except the trim around the doors)and am trying to decide between aluminim or rubber baseboards (both are fairly inexpensive).

Paint before grinding...definetly! Make all the mess you want and just grind it away and vac it up...easy as that.

I like the fit and finish of the rubber base molding myself. We do nothing but black and some brown in the garage we do. It's really easy to do or you can have it installed by a trim guy. We charge $5.00 LF installed when we do it and we usually end up doing it on 75% of the garages we do the floor on.

I know their is a great thread here at one of the guys did that really details the DIY process with some great pic's and all.

Good luck with your new garage!
