Paint?

Are there paint companies that sell their various auto paint colors in rattle cans for doing touch up or for painting small areas to match the body? If so, who?

Try your locall paint jobber that sells to bodyshops,some can mix up pretty much anything and stick it in a rattle can,my local NAPA store does it.

I've heard that certain colors don't work well out of the rattle can though. Like metallics and pearls and such. Not sure what color you are trying to shoot.

Warning, its cost about $50 shipped for a can of Guards Red and Clear Coat for my old Porsche, but was well worth it. This is no can of Krylon. I don't know what it was but it went on heavy and smooth, evened out nicely. Virtually undetectable afterward...except maybe it looks too good.

Master Paint in my area sells to body shops & the local car dealerships. They'll mix any color under the rainbow, they use SEM based paints. I pay $32 for a rattle can, proper surface prep,color sand and clear coat gets a great finish. I've bought both metalics and pearls and gotten great results. Good Luck on your project!

Thanks for the info. I plan on having a pro shoot my truck when it's time, but I wanted to be able to paint the inside of the cab, firewall, etc, so I can just pay to have the outside shot.

I've done this before. I bought a quart of paint at the local auto body supply house, and they packed it into spray cans for me. I did it once to paint the firewall of a car to match the body, and another time to paint a motorcycle. Both times it worked out very well.

Find a Preval sprayer and then you can spray catalyzed materials much like a spray can.

$3-4 each and great for touch up type work. If you want you can clean and use 2-3x but at the price I usually just toss them when I am done.
