What would you pro painters charge to paint 4 dormers? No prep work required and paint is supplied. Siding is pre-primmered T1-11.

And/Or what would you suggest the best approach to getting reasonable easy access to the roof line to be able to paint?

You should have painted it before installation. I would just rent a bucket truck and do it myself. Ladders will work, but cumbersome.

I agree, a bucket truck would be a good choice. Scaffolding would probably be another good option if you can rent some reasonably cheap and you can get it to set on the ground nice and level.

Long Beach CA, the sewer by the sea.
In my day I would have laid a ladder on the roof over a drop cloth and tied the top off to something secure on the other side. Then use another ladder to access. One half of the ladder on the left on the ground should do it while the other half either on another section or used to get up there. Another way I've done that is with a really long ladder laid all the way from the ground to near the peak and driving stakes to hold it.

It's not a full day's job but I'd gladly pay one man a day's wages to do that if I couldn't do it myself.

Renting a bucket for a little job is expensive.

Get another coat on the rake while up there.

I thought bucket as well but seemed even tough with that. Not the fact at getting up there but getting good access to paint from the bucket. Especially at the lower roof line.

Zeke's ladder idea is also good and I know they sell ladder hooks. I'm quite capable physically but figured either the hook purchase or bucket rental and all the hassle and safety concerns I would look into someone else doing it.

Got a quote for $800
