We're going to paint our trim this spring, like around the doors and windows and the soffits too. It's about 1800 sq ft so the soffit surrounds that much area. Is it worth it to spray or should we just roll? Would something like this powered roller thing be worthwhile? Or should I just roll it normally?

Spraying takes a lot of prep because of the taping and masking, but once masked you will lay down paint very fast.

Pics of areas in question are required for accurate evaluation.

I had my house trim sprayed and while it was OK, I found thin paint in some areas and overspray on my porch. 8 years later I had it painted with brushes. I feel brushing it is better. Seems like it puts more paint on. Hope to get at least 10 years out of it.

I just did my house and sprayed the walls and under the eves and then used a brush for the trim. Brush does seem to put down more paint.

We gotta do that too this summer. What are you using to clean the trim and soffits with and how? Our soffits have the bajillion little holes drilled into them so we can't high pressure wash them. We're gonna use brushes because of much less prep and easier to start & stop.
