I am using a Defleet Essential ESS paint. The supply outlet tells me not to thin this product. I am Experiencing Orange Peel at any pressure setting on my spray gun. The nozzle is 1.4. I started at 30 psi , and all the way up to 50 psi. Most of my painting was done at 68 F and approx 50 RH.Cannot get a perfect job. Any slight overspray is a disaster. Orang peel is more then can be buffed out. I did not have any issues with my primer nor a single paint I had for the inner panels. Does anyone recommend thinning this paint ? I was talked into this paint as opposed to base and clear coat. Help , big time.

Lately I call the manufacture or rep directly and get expert advice and answers. I ask for the number from the auto parts stores while they must look it up they give me the tech line I call and get real guidance. Just a thought.

Golden: we are not CUSTOMER SERVICE for the brand of paint you own so either spend a few more minutes researching the forum or like HotFr8 says find threads that are talking about your paint and ask the questions there.

good luck and hope you find your answer.
