Painting over gladiator gear track?

Anyone ever done that? I was wanting to hang the track and cabinet this weekend, but I haven't gotten the garage painted just yet. Had the thought that maybe I could just hang them and take the hooks and such off and paint the track as part of the wall when I get around to it. Or mask it off, I suppose.

Wonder how well paint holds up on the PVC and if it will fade to an off color.

I am also curious to know if someone has painted over Gladiator Geartrack. Pictures would also be great if anyone has done this! TIA

IDK... gear track is pretty smooth... near glossy. If it were me I'd probably take the track off and then paint.

unless you can scuff it up, the paint will peal right off.
