Has anyone painted the white slatwall a different color? I was wondering if I should prime it first? Blue is the color in mind. There's only a couple dollar difference between unpainted and white, so if I can skip a step, that's fine with me. That white is pretty slick feeling, so I'm wondering how paint directly applied would hold up? Otherwise I'll just buy the unpainted and do it correctly. I already have some that's white, but need more.

Thanks!

I have tried twice to sand the white for some grit and paint in my shop color and I get zero adhesion. Maybe it is the Pittsburg Ultra cheaper paint that I tried it with, maybe not. However I have great adhesion when I use the same paint on the unpainted slatwall.
