Unfortunately pick and file work will eventually be gone. The metal on newer cars is so thin that the heat produced from sanding with a DA warps some panels.

not as long as theres old antique cars on the road..... also, its sad that the new parts are so cheaply made that its just cheaper to replace the panel and repaint.... instead of fixing the existing one.
