For the life of me I cannot find the trademark or company name or anything about these long nose pliars. I've gotta say, these feel so good in my hand. Whoever is the maker they did an excellent job on them.
I've got a pair of those mystery pliers as well. I agree that they're comfortable in hand. Here are a few for comparison. The markings on the pitted pair are long gone, but the other two are marked Harrold. Or, at least they have the familiar *** H *** on the grips, along with the triangle logo.
Woody - like you, I believe I've seen that mark in the OP's first post - odds are it was probably here on GJ. I cannot place it at the moment.
I do recall doing some serious digging to find that advertisement and logo for Harrold. If there would have been another logo, I would have grabbed a screenshot of it - I'm rather indiscriminate when it comes to lifting images from the web.
I'm at a loss on this one.
Got interested in Harrold tools for personal reasons. I have found three screwdrivers in 4 years of looking. Steel isn't bad, handles are decent. I know they also made pliers, but I've never come across one in the wild. Here's some info on the...
I thought someone tied the two triangle logos together on the same tool, or found a Harrold ad w the Made in USA in it. Was in the last year or so, if my memory is worth a damn.
Here is a photo that Don posted, ( https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/threads/mystery-pliers.460710/post-8643982 )showing a pair of side cutters with the triangle logo saying "forged steel usa" and they look a lot like the Harrold cutters second from the left in my photo above, aside from what's inside the triangle. There's also an H in this triangle, but we're getting closer.... (?)
