Been looking for something to get heavy items and tools to the loft areas in my shop since i got rid of the old Fork lift. I found what I think is a "Mobile Pallet Truck", model FTAF132, The model# is messed up a bit, that's about as close as I can get. I'm picking it up next Saturday so not real sure about anything yet. Can't seem to find much info online. This one has a platform that looks about 4'x4' instead of forks, and I think it lifts 132", not sure if it is 110vac or battery operated.https://www.garagejournal.com/forum...&stc=1&d=1510576862=703461&stc=1&d=1510576862

Most of those I have seen were made by crown. You can look for one of them for sale used. google 'walkie stacker'. There is a current thread here already by one guy who is looking at powering his to make it self-propelled.

we have some much lighter ones at work, and some of them are even manually lifted, but they don't look like much.

I paid 400.00 couldn't pass it up, it's battery / hydraulic for lift, but manual to move. It appears to have very little or no use, but has been sitting for 10 years in a warehouse.
I can't find much info on it, I did get the company to send me a generic parts list, but the tech said most of those were custom made for the customer. It would be handier for me if it had forks instead of a platform, so I may alter it when I get it. For the cost I can afford to put a few bux into it.

most that I've seen, had the platform mounted on top of the forks, so you might get lucky and just need to pull the platform off

we called those straddle stackers when I worked in a factory. not a huge load range but maneuverable and usually electric-hydraulic. always thought they'd be handy to have, but every used one I've seen has usually been overloaded and has bent arms/frames. good find if it is in decent shape.

That's what I was hoping myself, but we picked it up yesterday and it is just a platform lift, no forks. It is 110v, no battery, not sure if I will convert it to 12v or not, I have several 12v power units so I can if I think the 110 will be a pita.

Right now we've been trying to decide if it should stay as a platform lift or convert it to forks. It looks and operates like a brand new machine, so if we decide we want the forks and a slip on platform I'd buy it right from the company that made it. They sent me a parts list so I can get it. Until we decide, the only thing I'm going to do is change the casters, it has swivels at all 4 corners which makes it a pain to manouver, and it is a bit shaky when you are up on it so I ordered 2 rigids for the front, and 2 locking swivels for the rear that you can also lock the pivot in 4 positions. And there is no handle so I'll make a good sturdy one for it.

I was going to take a few pics of it, but my battery died in my phone after the first shot.
