Hi to everyone, great forum!
Excuse me if this has been addressed but I have a question about putting air in my garage here in the desert.
My garage is 525 sq. feet and has 9'-6" ceilings. It is well insulated and I have just doubled the insulation on the garage doors. One door is 16 x 8 and the other is 4 x 8. The one inch insulation I added really helped with the hardware that would heat up due to the sun.
The garage has one 2' x 7' window that is a thermal thick glass, gets warm but not too hot.
I have been looking at a Freidrich wall unit 18,000 or a 24,000 cooling only unit. The mini splits are expensive and was hoping a wall unit would do.
An air conditioning company said a 24,k unit would be a better go. I don't want to over do it but I would like to get right the first time.
Upper 70's should do.
I would appreciate any suggestions you might have.
Thanks again, Bob.
