Just won this vise on eBay for $36.40, shipped. How'd I do? Does anyone know anything about it? The listing says it's a 4 1/2" vise with a slight bend in the screw but operates properly.

I'd say it's okay, not a steal, but fine if you need it.

That's the top 1/2 of a milling machine vise. What's missing is the lower swivel base. Sure, you can use it on a drill press or milling machine, but on a mill, you lose the ability to set the vise at a specific angle relative to the x & y axis. Palmgren is old USA brand. Not high precision but good for general work.
