This is a 3 phase breaker panel i have - Square D...but it just has lugs for power in, no breaker - is there a way I can tell how many amps this panel can handle? - it looks to have space for 20 3 phase breakers....? - what shows in the picture is one half of the breaker slots....

Thanks for any assistance

It's a 30 space panel. It should have a tag somewhere that tells you the amp rating. I would guess 200 or 225 just by looking at it. The size of the lugs it comes with will tell you a lot.

Looks like a SQD NQOB panelboard the data is on the deadfront and if you do not have it, the panel is scrap.

Thanks Bert...yes I've looked up and down for such a tag but no luck

there is a tag for the door and the enclosure...but they don't tie to a specific amp rating - the bus bar iteself (if that is the proper term) has no markings....the lugs on one are off - on the other the lug size says: CU 2/0-10 AL 2/0-6 and has a stub of 2 AWG stranded copper in one of them...?

Post pictures of all the labels.

Those size lugs say 100-125A max.

Do you have the dead front? From the looks of the pictures you have the door but not the dead front. The dead front would have the individual holes for the breakers.

It would also have the important label that we're looking for.

Ahhhhhh

I did not know what a deadfront was

I will send pictures tomorrow

Those panelboards come in 3 separate parts, box, interior, front, the deadfront is part of the interior & doubt you can buy them separate, which is why I said it's scrap without it.
