Need some help on paneling.
I am putting up a couple sheets of white 1/8" paneling around my garage door to trim it out. Right now the garage is all drywall and where the door mounts to the wall is exposed 2x4s. Nothing wrong with that, but I had to pull the door down to fix the tracks so it's not much work to glue up a bit of paneling.
The issue is the molding I bought doesn't seem to fit right.
I bought some molding for FRP without realizing and it's too thin and won't fit on the ends without fighting it. This is the thinner fiberglass board for bathrooms I guess??
Went back and bought the molding for 1/8" paneling and it fits very loose on the paneling I have. I have to put the molding on the pieces before putting it up on the wall and it just falls off. Is that how it's supposed to fit? I have never put up paneling so I'm not sure how it's supposed to be.
It seems like I would need a molding that is in between the 2 that Lowe's carries.
