I am a big fan of paper catalogues. I wanted one for gear wrench and contacted Apex tool group and they happily sent three catalogues. It wasn't just gearwrench but also Armstrong, Allen, etc.etc.

Please know theses catalogues are physically heavy, I actually split one in two so it's easier to handle while sitting on the throne.

What are some other recommendations on paper catalogues?

Yea the Apex catalog is a monster. On top of Fedwrench's recommendations, I also have Matco, Cornwell, SK, Carlyle, and Northern Tool is always fun of course.

I like paper too. (Sometimes way more efficient then online.)

McMaster used to have an awesome paper catalog. They were hard to get unless you were one of their large customers. I'm not sure if they're still avail.

Grainger and MCS also used to have (or still have) huge paper catalogs.

I wish Zoro would publish a catalog since their search is so crappy!!

I love looking through the tool catalogs while on the throne. I hate when my legs fall asleep from resting my elbows in the middle of my thighs. LOL!!!

How many other people does it happen too?

Love the tool catalogs.

I am surprised that as many companies still have paper catalogues, as expensive it must be to print, ship and so on. It just surprises me.
Shipping is not too bad. The Postal Service has a special rate for printed material. I guess the companies that still print them have a customer base where many may spend thousands each year. They sure don't break even on me.

+1. Not to mention the ring. That is why it is sometimes called the library. I can offer no cure for this problem.

Snap-on Industrial Brands catalog covers Williams, Bahco and CDI. Also Wiha and Knipex offer print catalogs. Got mine just emailing and asking.

Years ago, I walked out of NAPA with several of their "duplicate" catalogs--Fuel systems, Filters, Exhaust, Electrical, AC-Delco spark plugs, NGK spark plugs, the NAPA Tool catalog...maybe others.

The really important ones are the Illustrated Parts Guides, the ones with pictures of the actual part.

For that matter, I finally found a GM Standard Parts Catalog on eBay. Zillions of little clips, nuts, bolts, trim bits, etc.

Same here, Wiha consists of 13 separate catalogs including 1 master catalog. Its fun to gaze at. I don't keep mine in the bathroom though :lol_hitti

Nice to know I'm not the only one with a stack of catalogs in the bathroom

It helps to keep a stack of catalogs in case you ever get disconnected from the World Wide Web as a result of a solar flare and disturbance to our electromagnetic field ;)

About 12 years ago my boss got his new McMaster catalog and I saw him throw his old one in the trash. I told him that people want those and showed him several on Ebay at around $75. He couldn't believe it and quickly retrieved his old one. He wouldn't admit to selling it but he did take it home with him. I still have 2 or 3 old McMaster catalogs and a big MSC catalog as well.
