PARAMO #6 Vise

Just wanted to show off the PARAMO 6" bench vise I bought new well over 50 years ago. It is one of my favorite and most frequently used tools.

Made in England these are very heavy at about 105lbs, including the swivel base.

I've been using it constantly all these years for my garage projects, primarily motorcycle restorations but other small projects as well.

The only maintenance I've performed has been an occasional shot of WD40 and frequent wipe-downs. Oh, I placed "O" rings on both ends of the handle to prevent clunking when it is dropped.

Awesome. I have the same vise in nearly the same condition. That's amazing that you bought yours new. Where did you get it, and how much did it cost?

It's been too long long to remember those details, but I'm sure I didn't pay over $100.

In the Netherlands you pay between 40 and 80 euros for a 'well-used' No6.

I now have three of these,
and my wife doesn't allow me to buy one anymore
