Paramo No. 6 Jaw question

Hello Everyone,

My early Paramo No. 6 has original 5/16 course threads, and the screws that affix the jaws are original flat slotted brass. IIRC, will the current Record/Irwin replacement jaws/screw kits as found online fit the old Paramos ?

Thank you in advance for any help,

Warm regards,

Shawn

I believe the Record replacement screws are still 5/16 Whitworth, I am not sure if they still have the same counter sink taper though. Have not bought any myself recently. Its not to difficult to get ordinary counter sink screws and grind the head to suit.
A brass screw is not original from the factory.

I doubt you would have to go to the manufacturer for those jaw screws Shawn. Standard 5/16" x 18 tpi flat head machine screws around 7/8" long. Ed.

I sincerely thank you gentleman for your replys. The one brass screw is an odd man out. The remainder are indeed OEM 5/16 x 18. I can definitely grind new ones to fit. I was more concerned about whether or not the current offering of Record jaw inserts would fit the Paramo? Any thoughts?

Thank You !

The Paramo's were direct copies of the Records originally, I think modern Record jaw inserts would fit, but I am not buying any myself to be sure.
