Scored this parker 63 1/2 vise at the flea market today. It has 3 1/2" jaws and opens to about 5 1/2". There isn't any obvious date code on it, does anyone know how old this vise is?. I tried to search for instructions on how to disassemble it so I can give it a good cleaning but couldn't find anything. Here are a few pictures of the vise.

Any tips or suggestions on how to give it a good clean and lube?

That vise obviously was made in the 50's. Wilton had their art deco Shop King in production at the same time. It looks ready to mount and use. Resale value even restored isn't very high and of coarse they arn't as sought after like the bigger and older Parker bench vises. Thats a nice servicable vise!!

I don't need a heavy duty vise so this should fit my needs just fine. I think I got a pretty good deal on it, I paid 2/3 of what it cost when it was brand new.

You did very well indeed! That little art deco vise is quite handy and a perfect size for the shop or hobby area. There have been a couple on Fleabay that sold for $40 and some that have sat with no bids with a $30 start. Keep it for being a good vise made by an excellent company with vintage styling!
