Parker 954 Found

I checked out a sale of shop items on Craigslist the other day. No vises listed, but I called the number and the seller said he had two. I asked for names, and the first was a Harbor Freight. He then described the other as "rusty" and had the name "Parker" on it. I decided it was worth a look, and it turned out to be a Parker 954. Some surface rust, but no wear that I can find, tight screw/nut, and nearly perfect jaw faces. I had to give $20.00 for it. How did I do?

Thanks! I can't believe that a tool this old still has the machining marks on all the sliding surfaces. It must not have been used much.

It looks like a pre-1910 Charles Parker based on the fact it isn't designed for a swivel base. Great find for $20.

Probably later based on the fact that the handle boss is not rounded. Maybe 1930-WWII?
