As the title states one of my guys broke one of my vises, a chas. parker 974 1/2 putting a-arm bushings in a neon. I am not going to have it welded or repaired, it simply will not hold up to what we use them for but I would like another movable jaw for it. If no one has a jaw I will sell what's left of it to anyone that can use what's left and find another one.

I wonder if the collar would work on my 974? Other than that the swivel wrench if it is still there.

I just found the part here on the vise parts thread, now just waiting to see if skipskip still has it. If he doesn't I will let everyone know that has asked for parts (that wrench and collar must be very hard to find). there is a guy that PMed me that also needs the collar and wrench for a 955, since I have a 955 I will check to see if they even fit. If not I will let you know but I do not have a 974 to check them against so I will measure them and let you know.

I need a collar for 955 as well, but IIRC the collar off the 974.5 is to small, it should fit a 974 I think. I don't think one can need a wrench for a 955 as it is a fixed base vise. :headscrat

Also, introduce your guys to a new tool called a "press".

Oops, you are right about the 955, and you are also right about the press. I guess he will not forget to use the right tool for the right application seeing that I wasn't to happy about it getting broke.
