Parker No 22

Hello.

Could anybody please share their opinion on the completeness of this vice I’m currently in the process of acquiring from a dealer near me in England?

For the vintage it appears to be in very good shape though it’s missing its swivel base which wasn’t a deal breaker for me, but it does seem to be missing the front collar? I understand that they are hard to find but not too hard to make?

I’m based in the UK and we don’t come across Parker Vises very often but I really like them a lot from an aesthetic standpoint at least (maybe because my old man is from the states). I’ve never used one personally and I don’t yet have it in my possession to get more photos unfortunately.

That is a Parker #22 that is tightened to the bench, it sits on a plate (base) has a washer under the bench that with a nut, handle and stud completes the through bench swivel lock down. It is missing the front collar as the trade catalog cut shows. I hope you acquire it reasonably. It would look nice on this side of the pond.
