I know the price is high, and... this is a VERY old (and seemingly rare) vise.

One pic shows the jaws at around 5.25", no weight listed, and the handle has a nice bend.

It is listed at $175 however open to offers.

I would most likely resell it after restoration... and I don't know if I'll get what I put into it...

Opinions?

I have one, it's my outside beater vise. Don't think there is much meat left on the bone at that price to resell, vises without a swivel base seem to be a lot harder to sell, at least around here.

$40-50 at best. Based on the handle deformation alone, that poor fella has had a rough life.

Vise prices have blown up (Along with anvils).

Almost too expensive even to buy and use.

No way to flip and get your money out.

Yeah it's nuts. I went shopping for another one, and what 10 years ago would have basically been scrap is now listed at $200 lol.

At least the jaws look to be in decent (usable) condition. On Parkers, replacement is, to say the least, expensive.
Speaking for myself, in that condition, non-swiveling, I'd have to think hard at half the asking price. I'm more a user than a reseller, and I use the swiveling feature on my vises ALL the time.
As a flipper, I'd have to agree no way you'd make anything at the asking price.

The price does seem high. Especially when you look at the screw head. It looks like this was a truck vise and the handle worried a larger hole. Or maybe it is just because the replacement handle is undersized.

Once done, this would probably make a great user vise.
